Welcome To Aiea Pediatrics
COVID-19 Information
First and foremost, we ask everyone to be as safe as possible.
Please follow the guidelines set forth by the State of Hawaii and City and County on Honolulu. We understand that it's hard, but we ask that everyone try their best to adapt to the new living conditions so that our State can stay as safe as possible. When you need to go out and get necessities, take a list of everything you need to purchase so that you can go in and out of the stores as quickly and efficiently as possible.
What to do next after getting your COVID-19 Test Results
If your test result is POSITIVE
You can probably spread the COVID-19 virus. You must stay home, in quarantine, for 10-14 days from the day you were tested.
If your test result is NEGATIVE
This could be because you may not have had the virus present on the date you got the test. If you had no exposure, please continue to follow the recommendations and wear a mask OVER YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH.
Your test could also be negative because it was done too soon. If you know you had contact with someone who was positive, you need to quarantin at home for 14 days from the last day you came in contact with the person who was positive even.
If someone in your household tests POSITIVE and you are not able to be apart from them, you must stay in quarantine 14-days AFTER the infected person finishes their 10-day quarantine. That is a total of 24-days the household needs to be in quarantine.
Our office is open and our staff is ready to help you in whatever way that we can.

Screen Time
Help your children to get a break from screen time
With Distance Learning occuring in most schools and children at home during more hours of the day, it's easy for them to be in front of a screen for many hours during the day. Too much screen time can affect your children's health and well being, including how their eyes feel. Too much screen time may result in eye fatigue, blurry vision, and dry eye. Healthychildren.org has a good article about toom much screen time and what parents can do to help their children.
